“I am Groot” - A Mindful Moment in the Chaos of Vet Practice Life

I was doing some mindfulness work this morning, and my thoughts settled on a teammate struggling with the overwhelming chaos that life in a veterinary practice can bring from time to time.

Later in the meditation, the narrator shared a grounding exercise that had me imagine my feet had roots connecting deep into the soil beneath.

The phrase “I am Groot”, came to mind. It made me smile and the hair on my head tingled.

Inevitably, my own uncertainties and chaos seeped into the moment.

“Today, I will get one step closer to a big objective and be happy.”

That’s my promise to me.
